The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW is delighted to announce that the Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of New South Wales, will deliver the opening keynote address at the 2026 Good Works Summit.

As Premier of New South Wales and Member for Kogarah, Chris Minns has been a longstanding supporter of the Society. In 2024, he joined the Society to launch a fully funded and purpose-built Vinnies Van, that now provides practical support to hundreds of people across Sydney each week. He participated in the 2023 CEO Sleepout, helping raise vital funds for homelessness services across New South Wales, and has consistently supported our frontline programs that assist people experiencing hardship.

We are also honoured to welcome Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, as a keynote speaker at the 2026 Good Works Summit.

A highly respected community leader and advocate for social justice, gender equality, mental health, environmental sustainability and an end to gender-based violence, Australia’s Governor-General has dedicated her career to strengthening communities and driving positive social change. As Australia's 28th Governor-General, she brings a wealth of experience, insight and leadership, together with a deep commitment to many of the values that underpin the Society's mission.

This year’s theme, “Meeting the Moment”, acknowledges the growing economic pressures and increasingly complex needs facing our communities, and the Society's enduring commitment to respond. The Summit will bring together a diverse group of speakers whose work exemplifies leadership in holistic support and expertise in understanding the changing needs of our community.
