Members on the NSW South Coast, from Berry to Ulladulla, can celebrate their new Shoalhaven Regional Council President, Anne Hayward, who was commissioned during Sunday Mass at St Michael’s Church Nowra on 4 May 2025. 

We were delighted that members from local Conferences could join the celebration, including from St Patrick’s Conference Sussex Inlet, where Anne also serves as Conference President.  

We were honoured to be joined by Peter Houweling, NSW State Council President, Peter Doris, Wollongong Central Council President, Solange Frost, Regional Director, South, MVEI and Leonie Duck, Mission, Spirituality & Pastoral Care Partner – South. 

“Having Anne in this important role will mean Shoalhaven members will have a strong new voice to represent local community need and members’ experiences,” Solange said at the happy event. 

Following Mass, Peter Houweling presented a stalwart Vincentian, Reg Thompson from St Michael’s Conference Nowra, with a Certificate for 60 Years of Membership and a Papal Blessing, made more poignant by our beloved Pope Francis’ recent passing.
